The design for the “Coffee Town” development in northern China focuses on a central boulevard conceived as a year-round park for residents. The landscape plan combines hardscapes, gardens, activity areas, and scattered seasonally vibrant plantings to animate the boulevard and give identity to each of the residential enclaves that conjoin it. A covered bridge, designed like a woven basket, spans the Yangchun river, knitting the boulevard with recreational riverside paths.
