Working at the intersection of architecture and representation, Hadi Madwar approaches design through model making and image making as tools for exploration. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from McGill University and a Master of Science in Architecture from the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Mendrisio.
His work focuses on early project phases, where ideas are tested through physical models and iterative studies. At Paul Raff Studio, he contributes to small and medium scale projects, bringing a careful, research-driven approach shaped by experience at Herzog and de Meuron. He notes, “Model making allows design ideas to be tested and refined through iteration.”
Alongside practice, he maintains an active illustration practice, extending his interest in form, light, and representation across media.
